History
BULFRANO CLEMENTE IS ORIGINALLY FROM SANTA CRUZ OZOLOTEPEC. HIS BEGINNINGS IN COFFEE FARMING BEGAN AFTER HE GOT MARRIED, AS HIS WIFE INHERITED A PIECE OF LAND.
The first plot was inherited by Bulfrano's wife, and the other properties were purchased over the years, since at some point as a married couple they went to work in Mexico City and it was through their savings that they acquired the second and third plots.
Regarding the names, in this case for the plot "El Cerezal" it was kept with the name which its previous owner called it, the plot "Las Marías" was out of respect and gratitude to the lady who sold them that property because the previous owner was called "María". For the plot "Frontera del Sol" it is due to the location of the property as it is located on a small hill, almost at first glance it is where the sun shines in the first hours of the day.
Processing Information
In general, he executes only traditional management on his plots, such as weeding and this depending on the available labor, because Mr. Bulfrano goes to work in Mexico City. For the picking, Bulfrano has already made a different use of his coffee through a natural process.
Our SMS team is helping to provide more information on the advanced management such as shade control, renovation, fertlization, and so on.The first picking take place in mid-December and extend until March or April.
The producer comments that his work, patience and love are used to better process of the coffee, since it is difficult to make the Picking while more coffee is fermenting, washing or drying.Mr. Bulfrano is open to improving his processes.
