We present this single-origin coffee, El Nevado del Huila from Colombia, as a project to support the local Asheville non-profit Asheville Music School! 10% of proceeds from the sale of these bags goes straight to supporting AMS!
This coffee is a community lot from small-scale growers in the towns of Santa Maria and Pitalito in Huila at high elevations and showcases the excellence and approachability of Colombian coffee at its best.
Asheville Music School believes in the inherent power of music to transform lives and believes that connecting individuals from diverse age groups and socio-economic backgrounds through the universal language of music heals, builds, and strengthens community. AMS serves a constituency of nearly 500 members, providing affordable and accessible music lessons, group classes, scholarships, workshops, tutoring, mentoring, coaching and outreach music performances to youth, families, seniors and people with disabilities in need of financial and social assistance.
Since its inception as a nonprofit in 2012, AMS has awarded more than $80,000 in need-based scholarships to a diverse range of youth and reached a diverse range of over 100 underserved youth and elderly through outreach music performances.
A portion of proceeds from the sale of this coffee go to benefit AMS programs, including scholarships and outreach. Plus, buyers will get to enjoy an AMS-curated Colombian music playlist by scanning the QR code on the package.
