El Tigre Dark Roast - Santa Maria Oxolotopec, Oaxaca, Mexico

Ask & you shall receive! We’ve added a dark roasted Mexican coffee to our menu! Until now, our darkest roast has been our beloved Gravity blend. This coffee is well-balanced and slightly more developed than our other offerings, but over time we have noticed that there is an opportunity to approach a truly dark-roasted coffee that meets our high standards of quality.

We’ve taken our crowd-pleasing El Tigre and extended the roast to the point where the coffee hits second crack — a chemical reaction that creates the comforting flavors of molasses, fresh tobacco, and roasted s’mores. 

We’ve worked hard to develop this new product. Although our typical sensibilities will always lead us towards light-to-medium roasts of exceptional coffees, we believe that this dark roast brings a complementary and equally valuable flavor profile to our menu.
